Birthday Girl

I feel like April 23, 2010, to April 23, 2011 came and went all in the blink of an eye. Chalk it up to a few life changes....new baby, new job, new house, short 5 month stay w/ the parents & a daily 30 minute commute! No wonder the last year went by so quickly!

Rewind one year, we're living in Dubuque. I'm pregnant with Paige. Troy comes home and says he's gonna apply for a new job. 2 weeks later he accepts the job, we have a baby, we're moving to Dyersville and we're building a house! A bit stressful to say the least, but wouldn't change a thing now that it's all said and done! What an amazing year, topped off of course with our 3rd....AND FINAL (I think).....beautiful baby girl, Paige Abigail!

Paige turned 1 last Saturday, April 23rd. With it being Easter weekend, almost everyone was able to make it home to help celebrate her big day. She loved every minute of her party, walking around all night, laughing and smiling at anyone that walked by.

This smile is pretty much the look on her face the entire night! It was great!

Paige and her cousin Lyla, are about 7 months apart. (Otherwise known as Peanut & Chunky Monkey. I'll let you decide which one is which!)

The Godparents, Aunt D and Uncle Timmy!

The only family picture were managed to snap. Not the best but it'll have to do!

Being it was Easter, we decided to have a little Easter Egg hunt for the kiddos as well. They seemed to have a pretty good time!

I feel like she's saying, "Yeah, not getting the big deal with this egg thing?"

And the favorite gift award goes to Grandma & Grandpa Steger's toy truck. You'll see why in the 2nd picture! HANG ON.......

And finally......the cake pictures! Looking back, Lauren and Reese wanted nothing to do with their cakes. Aside from the mess it makes, I selfishly always wanted one kid to just dive into their cake and make a terrible mess.

While this wasn't the food fight of the century, she definitely enjoyed her cake more than the other two. Asking and signing for "Mo, Mo?" over and over again! And if it wasn't for Grandma Doris telling me she was gonna get a belly ache if I kept giving her more, I'm pretty sure she would have finished half that cake! She was loving it!

Happy 1st Birthday Pippa! You are such a wonderful blessing to our family! Can't wait to watch you grow and to see your little personality shine!!!

1 Year Pictures

Not sure how I'm going to choose! Thanks to Rochelle at Capture the Moment Photography for getting such adorable pics!

Love this one!!! Both in black and white and color!!

And we're back....

I'm sure alot has happened since my last post a couple months ago, but about the only thing I can remember is a sick household. I'm hoping now that some warmer weather is here, that phase of our lives is over, for 7-8 months at least!!!

It would take way to long for me to remember what's all happened since my last post, so here are just a few random pics from along the way! (Meaning: I haven't had the camera out in about 2 months, so this is about all I have to post at this time!)

This rapidly growing child is officially on the move....and this momma is not ready for it yet! I completely forgot what it was like to have a wobbly walking baby at your feet at all times, getting into every drawer known to man! It's exhausting keeping up w/ this kid!

She reminds me so much of Lauren, it's scary. Into everything. Constantly on the go. Can barely take her into public w/o causing some sort of scene. And by scene I mean jabbering at the top of her lungs, wanting to get out of her seat, out of the shopping cart, out of my arms. To quote Carey Supple, "The Wet Noodle" is in FULL effect w/ this kid!

Next is my toothless 7 year old! This kid is losing teeth at the speed of light. She has lost both bottom and both top teeth. And the 2 side ones on the bottom could be pulled out tonight if she'd let me. To say she has a lysp right now is a slight understatment. I have a bad feeling this is god's way of getting back at me for making fun of people w/ lysp's in college after a couple beverages!

To say she was proud is a bit of an understatement! Tooth Fairy coughed up $2 bucks for that thing too! Kids these days don't know how good they've got it. I was lucky to get a quarter back in my day!
