Softball, Graduation, Parks and more.....

Lots of photo opportunities over the past week, so be prepared for a busy blog!

Our own little Ryan Theriot was in full effect this week, sporting mad skills at the short stop position and going 3-3 at the bat, taking her team (The Cubbies) to another victory, even tho they don't keep score! Nevermind the fact that 75% of the girls in this league can barely hold the bat up w/o falling over cause it weighs more than they do! Ha!

Ella Olberding (Brad and Cindy's daughter) is also on our team. She did a great job behind the plate!

As the youngest of 2 older siblings, I completly understand where Paige is coming from in this next picture. When I was younger, I sat through a many of baseball, football & basketball games, and as much as you love cheering on your older siblings, it can get to be some long days/nights.

Our next adventure this week was my baby's graduation from Kindergarden (.....give me a second while I dry my tears!) Lauren attended St. Columbkille's school this year. She was very lucky to be in Mrs. Johnson's class. She has been teaching for over 20 years and is an amazing teacher. I vounteered one day a couple weeks ago, and spending simply 3 hours there made me realize there is not enough money in the world that could make me be a kindergarten teacher! The patience of those women is something I will admire until I move on to my resting place!!!

Lauren & Mrs. Rolling, the principal:

This is a picture of the Kindergarten quilt that was auctioned off. Each student decorated a square for the quilt:

Their "graduation" program lasted about 45 minutes and was 100% adorable. The program consisted of a series of songs, which were hilarious and each student receiving an award, from the Sugar & Spice award to the Best Buddy award to the Technology award, which is the one Lauren won. The Technology award was given to a student who excelled in technology and was willing to help teach their classmates. She looked very proud winning this award.

After the program, we were able to spend 10 minutes in the gym getting some precious photos of the class. It was kind of a bittersweet moment for us because Lauren won't be going to school there next year. We loved St. Columbkille's and the friends Lauren made this year, but I know she'll do fine next year too!

Lauren & her best friend Emma (Please note that Lauren has to "duck down" to be eye level w/ Emma. She's such a giant!)

Lauren & Sophia:

And finally, yesterday I took Reese out to New Wine Park in New Vienna for a picnic, hiking and come creek stomping w/ Wagner and her girls, Claire & Carley. No need to say a word about these pics, the adorable-ness speaks for themselves! Enjoy!

A Fun Filled Weekend...

And the proof is in the picture. After a day at the farm and 2 days at the cabin, this girl had it!

On Saturday morning, we headed to the farm to spend some time w/ Troy's family because everyone was home. In typical fashion, the kids played their hearts out, the men went golfing and plenty of euchre was played. We also squeezed in a family softball game and I'm pretty sure my team won (but who was keeping score???)!

As promised in previous blogs, I was finally able to get some cute pics of the girls together:

And how adorable is this baby girl:

Then on Monday, the Osterhaus klan headed to the cabin for some fun in the sun and sand.

1st Milestone

Paige turned 1 month old yesterday and I can't believe how fast it's gone. Only 4 more months and I'll be back at work....ha!

She has been an amazing baby so far, sleeping anywhere from 5-8 hours at night. There have only been 4 nights since she's been born that she hasn't slept great for us. She's a bit more fussy during the day than the other girls, but I can handle that as long as she lets me sleep during the night!

She had her 3 week check up last week and appears to be doing great. She was up to 8 lbs 9 oz and measured in at 21 inches. She's starting to fill out her 3 month outfits, but still a little small for the 3-6 month ones.

The only thing I can think about right now that drives me crazy is that she will NOT take a binki! Lauren and Reese were addicted to their binki's until they were 2 years old. I want her to take a binki so badly cause I think it teaches them to sooth themselves, not so much right now, but when they are older and can search around their crib for it. I keep sticking it in there, thinking eventually she surly will take this thing, but she wants nothing to do w/ it. Oh well.

The girls are still in love w/ her, sometimes to much. They are great helpers and wonderful big sisters. I wish I had more pictures to share, but in typical 3rd child fashion, my camera hasn't been out as much as I would like it to be. Just not enough hours in the day anymore. Hopefully once summer gets here and we have more flexibility w/o school, I'll be able to capture more pics of the girls. Until then....enjoy Paige's 1 month milestone!

"Justin Bieber"

So the girls and I were riding in the car last night on the way to Lauren's 1st softball game and the song, "Hey Soul Sister" came on the radio. The girls LOVE this song. So I turn it up and they start singing and dancing when this conversation happens:

Reese: "MOM!"
Me: "What?"
Reese: "Who sings this song?"
Me: "I'm not sure."
Reese: "Is it Justin BEAVER?"

LOL!!!!!!! God that kid cracks me up!
